What Hanson Is Up To These Days...

Note: The information on this page is in reverse cronological order- the begining stuff is the newest and gets moved downward when more new stuff comes along. I keep everything up here, don't ask why.

Updated As Of July 18, 2004:
Sorry boys and girls, I think this is the last I will update this section. Any really important news you need to know in the future will be on my main page. This will stay here for posterity's sake, so I can look at it and go "aw, wow, Hanson was doing different things!", and to confuse people.

Updates As Of August 30, 2003:
Sorry I haven't been up to date on the news! Monday September 1, Hanson will be on The New Tom Green Show at midnight on MTV in the United States. Then on September 2 they will be on the Orlando Jones show at 11 p.m. Unfortunately, I don't know what channel it's on. I don't watch much TV.

The reason I finally got around to a news update was that I read something that was posted on the forums by Ashley Greyson about the documentary, and I thought needed to be spread around so everyone could read it.

"AshG> dunno when the doc will be out....but SOON!!! buahhhahahahaa
AshG> then it keeps getting pushed back by the label *
AshG> by the end of the year
AshG> year
AshG> maybe a sneak preview or soemthing
AshG> it is not a light thing like ttmon
AshG> very serious
AshG> art versus commerce
AshG> good versus evil
AshG> spiderman versus the green goblin
AshG> no for real it is intense and very serious
AshG> if you are expecting a happy making of you will be very shocked
AshG> you may cry, i dunno, one of the guys has a bit of a breakdown
AshG> after all the months and months of being told his songs are not good he loses all confidence
AshG> thinks he cant sing and all the music is terrible
AshG> it is very real and very heartfelt
AshG> you will see
AshG> no nudity but it is not for kids
AshG> I dunno what rating it will get
AshG> you have to send it to a board of people
AshG> I dont want to get into in a chat because you guys will post the transcript everywhere!
AshG> but....nothing will be edited out...
AshG> it is just intense in parts
AshG> there is nothing that is gratuitous
AshG> taken in context, it is all very fine and real
AshG> taken out of context means... I cant put up a small clip of something "juicy" as it needs the film as its context
AshG> but, I am the film maker, hanson is my subject, I present only the facts from my fly on the wall perspective
AshG> there has never been such an intimate view inside the studio and the "process" from an artists perspective
AshG> i have releases from most the island people
AshG> i have every meeting and every reaction on tape
AshG> over 200 hours
AshG> i have over 24 hours in the editing computer
AshG> going for 90 minutes max
AshG> dvd will have more stuff
AshG> you guys have never seen Hanson like this...or any band for that matter
AshG> i have captured the actual moments of creative inspiration, the studio banter, arguments and dealings with the label
AshG> never been done
AshG> now I just have to edit it to make it watchable!!
AshG> i poured 3 years of my life in it!!!
AshG> my reward it getting it seen
AshG> F bombs?
AshG> i can promise, no matter how conservative you are, there are parts of the film that will have YOU dropping f-bombs
AshG> the crescendo of the film is an emotional gut-shot from the label
AshG> i get sick every time I see it
AshG> it is not dirty or anything... just mature
AshG> and you are mature enough to handle it
AshG> an emotional punch to the gut.....
AshG> the ONLY reason this record was not out in september of 2001 is incompentence, fear and bullying from IDJ
AshG> those conspiracy theory people make me laugh.... and puke
AshG> listen to the words for Strong Enough to Break
AshG> that was inspired by a crucial event I caught on film
AshG> SETB "I dont feel myself today...just a figure in a big monopoly game..."
AshG> "...carry on, just a pawn in the same old song..." "

I NEED TO SEE THAT NOW. Also, I like how he talked about not wanting to get into a chat because it would be posted everywhere and I posted it from a LiveJournal community.

Updates As Of August 8, 2003:
This isn't news, but I just wanted to say that I downloaded Hanson on Access Hollywood yesterday, and Access Hollywood made them look bad! It was like "Where has Hanson been since 1997 when they were huge? Well, now they don't have a record deal! Here they are!"
...
What the heck?!
At least the very short interview was cute... and the two second clip of "Penny And Me". Were they trying to act like "This Time Around" never came out?! I think that was one of the most amazing records ever. *shakes fist angrily*
OH, and I just wanted to add I'm seeing Hanson at Middle East in Boston! Actually, Camberidge. Same difference... Plus, tomorrow (Saturday the 9th) the acoustic album is availible at Hanson.net! Plus, at the tour shows where I'm hoping to pick my copy up.

Updates As Of August 6, 2003:
Oh no, I forgot to update sooner! And stuff happened. And I know this is where every Hanson Fan goes to find out the latest news....
First of all, more dates! Hanson.net presale tomorrow for some... again, go to For updated good news. and yes, a second show at the Roxy in California.

8/30/2003 Los Angeles, CA - Roxy
8/31/2003 Anaheim, CA - House Of Blues
9/3/2003 Tempe, AZ - Nita's Hideaway
9/4/2003 San Diego, CA - The Scene
9/6/2003 Palo Alto, CA - The Edge
9/7/2003 Sparks, NV - The New Oasis-Reno
All tickets 20 dollars each, plus annoying ticket fees (Ie- "convienience fees) that companies force you to pay. As for where they will be availible, my guess is try to find the websites for the venues, or go to ticketmaster.com...
Okay, plus Hanson was on Access Hollywood. But I missed it. Also, they were breifly on Switched, which is a show on ABC, which I downloaded the small clip from it, hoping to see myself at the LIFEbeat concert... but I couldn't. :\ I was sooo there....
Plus, Acoustic album coming out on August 9th! That's this Saturday! Hanson is currently still not on a record label, so it's available at tour concerts, and Hanson.net!

Updates As Of July 15, 2003:
HANSON IS ON LENO TONIGHT! I know in the United States, it's on at 11:30 p.m. on NBC. I hope they will be performing and interviewed, but I am not sure. I think they will be there to promote the upcoming album and tour... But I don't know. If you miss/missed it, there should be a video up on the Godly Hanson site: Hanson Hotel.
As for the tour, I'm REALLY confused about info. I'm going thoug, I ordered tickets... stuff written about it to come later.

Updates As Of July 7, 2003:

Updates As Of June 23, 2003:
This just ripped off of Hanson.net in! The dates for the acoustic tour will be released by the end of this week. Hanson.net members will not have a very long period of time to get their advance tickets, they will only have about a day or two before the ticket sales go public to everyone else, since it's rather short notice. However, Hanson will not just be doing the acoustic tour, the acoustic tour is "only the beginning"!

Updates As Of June 21, 2003:
And now for two years worth of news updates!
Umm... heh heh. Uhh. I couldn't log in for two years, okay?! I swear! Ohh... erm.. you wanted HANSON updates. Sorry about that.
First of all, last year our little Taylor got married. He's still far too little in my opinion. Taylor and Natalie have a son named Ezra. For a "scan" I did not scan, look below:

If they're truly happy, then I'm happy.
Next: Hanson left Island Def Jam. They cited the ever-popular "creative differences". *cough*islanddefjamblows*cough* Oh, pardon me. Last I knew they were looking into getting signed by some other record label, and a few were interested, then I haven't heard any more.
But tentatively, the album release date has now been moved back to February. However, they are supposed to do a tour of a "20+ Club Tour with a purposely intimate setting beginning in late July." They are finalizing the last dates still. Okay, first I read this as "twenty or more places". Upon rereading, that better not be twenty and up allowed only. I'm 19, and Zac is younger than me. Wait... I just realized right now that my last two sentences made no sense. Moving on...
Hanson came in at number 98 on VH1's rediculous list of the 100 Greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years featuring Eminem's "Lose Yourself" at number four. The list is so stupid I am not even going to link to it.
Taylor played at a Tulsa show with RatDog. At the- oh screw it. Here is where I get lazy: "Cain's Ballroom last night in Tulsa, Hanson attended the show and Taylor was asked to join the band to play with them on the last 2 songs. Pictures Available At Ratdog.org." There. *rubs hands together* All taken care of!
Michelle Branch duets with Isaac in "Deeper", on the album that seems as if it will never come out. Michelle first met the guys when she gave them ehr demo, and she opened for them last tour.
Hanson played at a Lifebeat benefit concert in Hollywood, for which I was in attendence. I wrote a review, linked under my section all about me on my main index page. Thank you.

Updates As Of September 8, 2001:
- Hanson released a new song! "Wake Up" was featured on the soundtrack to Disney's "The Princess Diaries". It was played during the movie to... or os I was told. I didn't see the movie. How sad. :(
- Hanson is still working hard on their album... or, at least working. No one has told me whether they were working hard or not, but whatever. This is my site and I can say whatever the hell I feel like saying. God bless the internet.
- There were some pictures that fans took of Hanson and their supposed girlfriends circulating around the internet that now "showed" everyone how they dated. Oh, boo-hoo! Many fans over-reacted. DORKS. It's not like they haven't been dating all this time that you thought they were really single or anything... yeah. Hanson are celebrities. And a bunch of stuff people think they know about clelebrities is a bunch of crap. But whatever. Hanson is great and no matter if they are dating or not, they are still great musicians with hot bodies that I would like to rub my hands all over. Uhhh. I didn't just say that.

Well, believe it or not, this is not ALL the news I have ever had up here! For really old news, please click this link.
